ANGELES, JUNE 23, 2005 – The “Sounds of the Sacred, Songs of
the Earth, - A Topanga Celebration & Festival for World Peace” will
be held on Sunday, September 18 at the Topanga Community House and Sacred
Chumash Grounds from Noon to 10:00 PM. The outdoor all-day festival promoting
World Peace will feature an array of cross-cultural activities and participatory
performances in music, dance and theatre led by visionary artists and practitioners
of ancient healing arts. The event’s ethnic food and World Lifestyle
booths will further enhance the festival atmosphere. The event culminates
with a spectacular concert of performances presenting the diverse traditions
of sacred music from around the world. The concert begins at 5:30 PM.
